Where to charge an electric car in Bergen

Jander Soares ·

Two large rapid-charging sites and practical advice for charging without a monthly subscription.

Arriving by car:

Åsane is on the northern side, by the E39; Blomsterdalen is useful on the airport side. These two sites have a large number of stalls confirmed by their operator. Visitors can use them without a monthly membership, but drivers of other brands normally need the Tesla app and an account. Check your car supports CCS rapid charging; do not assume compatibility with CHAdeMO or Type 2-only vehicles.

Åsane / Gullgruven Senter — Tesla.

Liamyrane 1, 5132 Bergen. Map. Checked 13 October 2026: the official listing advertises 24 Supercharger stalls, up to 250 kW, open 24/7 to Tesla and other CCS-compatible EVs. This is 24 advertised vehicle positions, not a sum of connectors; it does not mean 24 stalls are free now or your car will receive 250 kW. Gullgruven shopping centre is adjacent; its services have separate hours. A 24-hour toilet or café was not confirmed. Official station.

Blomsterdalen Senter — Tesla.

Lilandsvegen 3, 5258 Blomsterdalen. Map. The current operator page, checked 13 October 2026, lists 24 stalls, up to 250 kW, open 24/7 including other CCS EVs. Tesla labels it trailer friendly, but gives no maximum dimensions; that does not guarantee space for every motorhome. The neighbouring shopping centre may be useful during charging; check service opening hours. Official station.

Starting and paying at both sites:

for a non-Tesla car, install the Tesla app, create an account, add a payment method, choose the correct stall and start charging. Monthly membership is optional. A bank-card terminal was not confirmed at either site, so prepare the app before travelling. The kWh price varies by site, time and user category; no verifiable numerical price was available on the consulted pages. Check the app before starting. Occupancy or congestion fees may apply. Parking and charging are separate: the listings did not establish parking prices or limits, so check signs. Actual power depends on your vehicle, battery and conditions.

Looking for an option nearer the centre:

the official Eviny/Bilkraft map lists other stations. On 13 October 2026, the operator published general rates of NOK 6.49/kWh for rapid/ultrarapid charging and NOK 4.99/kWh for normal charging, with station prices confirmed in the app. It advertises Bilkraft, card or Vipps payments; check the chosen charger’s options, as Vipps may be impractical for foreign visitors. No specific central site is presented as confirmed because its current simultaneous capacity, address and restrictions could not be officially verified. Eviny map and terms.
